Child Protection Courses

Darts Alberta took the Coaches Association of Canada’s Responsible Coaching Movement Pledge in December 2017:

Our sport organization pledges to align our practices with Phase 1 of the Responsible Coaching Movement and is committed to ensuring that our athletes and coaches are protected.

Phase 1 of the Responsible Coaching Movement includes:

  • The Rule of Two (Darts Alberta refers to this as the Triple Rule)
  • Background Screening (including Criminal Record Checks); and
  • Respect and Ethics Training

Darts Alberta strongly encourages all coaches and leaders working with children to take one or both of these external courses.
