NEW COMPLAINT PROCESSES

As a sport funded by the Government of Alberta, Darts Alberta is now mandated to have an independent third-party complaint process. Darts Alberta has signed a contract with the Alberta Sport Leadership Association and their contracted independent third party adjudicators (ALIAS) to manage all complaints on behalf of Darts Alberta. This new process is funded by the Alberta Government.

These new processes and policies are applicable to all Darts Alberta participants, including athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, directors, employees, contractors, and members. The term "member" includes individuals that have purchased direct membership with Darts Alberta/NDFC and those that have a Darts Alberta membership through their participation in Darts Alberta adult member leagues and youth member clubs. This also includes parents of members under the age of majority. More information and applicable policies can be found on the new Darts Alberta tab titled "Reporting a Complaint".

These complaints should be sent to your local association/club or Darts Alberta according to applicable policies.

If you are unsure if your complaint constitutes maltreatment, please review the Alberta Universal Code of Conduct (AB UCC) and the Darts Alberta Code of Conduct Policy #21 and the Darts Alberta Complaint Reporting and Disciplinary Proceedings Policy #01. Links for all documents are available on the new Darts Alberta Reporting a Complaint tab. Darts Alberta abides by the Alberta Universal Code of Conduct (AB UCC) to guide the organization, our members, and our organizational participants in ensuring the safety and well-being of those associated with the sport of darts.

Each person has a responsibility to help keep the sport safe. Reports of maltreatment that come to the attention of any Darts Alberta administration or the board will be directed to contact ALIAS using the "Report a Complaint" button.
