Elite Athlete Development
This program was created to encourage competitive spirit, increased participation at DA-ranked tournaments and enhance athletic performance at the elite level.
Elite Development Award
The top 2 men and the top 2 women on the April 30 ranking list each year will win travel and accommodations to a maximum of $600.00 to attend and participate in any WDF ranked tournament or any NDFC Ranked Tournament outside of Alberta.
- The WDF event can be anywhere (Alberta, Canada or International)
- The NDFC event must be outside of Alberta
- Only one award per tournament, so if multiple awards are received these cannot be combined to participate in one single tournament
- In order to be reimbursed, receipts are required for airfares and accommodations
- If driving to the event, you will be reimbursed at the rate of $0.20 per kilometer (no gas receipts needed)
- Meals, entry fees and any other expenses are not eligible for reimbursement
- Advance notice of what tournament you are attending is highly recommended
The award must be used within 1 year of it being earned or the award will be forfeited.
Members are not eligible to apply for a grant if they have an outstanding award that coul be used for that event.
